Hi, my name is Joe Marshall.  My wife Melissa and I are church planters in Australia.  On October 31, 2004, we started the Gateway Baptist Church in Palmerston, Northern Territory, Australia.  We are graduates of Crown College and sent out of New England Baptist Church in W. Bridgewater, MA with the help of Baptist International Missions, Inc.

We have served in Australia planting independent Bible-believing Baptist Churches and to training national leadership to do the same. Our goal is to train national pastors and leave the work in their hands. We have served in the city of Darwin for the last 8 years.  Darwin is the capital of the Northern Territory of Australia and has over 130,000 people consisting of over 70 ethnic backgrounds. In 2004, we were able to plant the Gateway Baptist Church.  Through Gateway, we were able to sponsor in Missionary Dan Delong and assist in the planting of Coastline Baptist Church in Cairns, Queensland and helped with a starting a Bible study in Katherine, Northern Territory.  This Bible study has now formed into the Savannah Way Baptist Church.
